THE POLISH ARMY IN THE ITALIAN CAMPAIGN, 1943-1945 (NA 13496) General Kazimierz Sosnkowski, the C-in-C of the Polish Armed Forces, in a 3-ton lorry in which he travelled from Vastogirardi to San Pietro Avellana in order to avoid drawing the enemy shellfire on the exposed road.
